Privacy notice

How SiteRequest handles information during its founding pilot. Last updated 12 September 2026.

Who is responsible

SiteRequest is an independently operated founding pilot. Questions and data requests can be submitted through the contact form.

Information we collect

We collect information provided in consultant profile requests, project briefs, quotation responses and contact forms. This may include names, work and optional notification email addresses, company information, project information, fees, scope, programme details and uploaded files.

Public company listings

Initial directory entries contain limited business information drawn from public company websites: company name, general office location, broad services and a link to the company website. They do not show named employee contact details or claim current availability unless the firm has confirmed it.

Why we use it

We use submitted information to verify work email addresses and profile claims, review and publish approved company profiles, send 30-day workload-status reminders, send quote invitations and status notifications, provide private request and response pages, respond to enquiries, prevent misuse and improve the service. Where UK data protection law applies, the intended bases are taking steps at your request, legitimate interests in operating a business-to-business sourcing service, and compliance with legal obligations where relevant.

Sharing and publication

Project briefs, site details, quotation responses and attachments are not public. They are made available through private links to the developer and the consultants selected for that request. We use infrastructure and transactional-email providers to run the service and deliver notifications. Consultant profile details intended for publication are checked before going live.

Retention and security

We keep pilot submissions only as long as needed for the request, verification, record-keeping and legal requirements. Work email verification links expire after 24 hours. Private request and consultant links expire after 30 days, and cancelling a request revokes consultant access. Revocation cannot recall information or files already viewed or downloaded. Access to the owner review area is restricted. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so do not submit information that is not needed for the request.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to correct or remove a company listing. Individuals may also ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability where those rights apply. Use the contact form and select the relevant request type. You may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
